Why do we Need to Shift to Electrical Vehicles ?

An electric vehicle is a vehicle which runs on a lithium-ion battery instead of a petrol engine. When we hear the name EV, it means reliability, cost-efficiency, environmental sustainability and less maintenance costs.

Why do we Need EV’s?

It is a question which comes in every person’s mind who is continuously thinking about electric vehicles. The question which arises is why should I change from Audi A5, Toyota Camry to an i8 or Model S. The answer to the question is that we are consuming fossil fuels and petroleum at a faster rate than its formation as it takes millions of years to form fossil fuels. As we are going towards a tech revolution, we should change from the petrol car to battery powered or hybrid-cars. The word electric vehicles have become quite common since Elon Musk is on the news and trending everywhere.

Benefits of EV’S:

• The cars are less noisy.
• The cars come with a self driving feature.
• The cars have a battery for extra horsepower which also saves the gasoline costs which means we just have to take proper tire care.
• They can be easily charged.
• They can be reliable.
• They contain the same luxury as of a petrol car.

Things to keep in mind for electric vehicles:

If you have made your mind to buy an electric vehicle, you should be vigilant in some situations:

• You should have a proper routine to charge your vehicle and let’s say if you wake up late in the morning for work one day, your car will automatically stop charging itself when it reaches 100% mark.
• You should be willing to take risks because sometimes the tires may create problems for you.
• You should not worry about the electricity bills if you own an electric vehicle.
• You should take the hassle of owning an electric vehicle if the country where you reside has a proper system of electricity and of course charging the electric vehicles.
• You can modify the interior and exterior as much as you want without teasing the battery.

Disadvantage of electric vehicles in my opinion:

The electric cars do not have a loud exhaust which makes a car non-appealing to me. I live in a third world country which has a bit of power production and charging station issues which kind of make these vehicles a hassle to own but progress is being made in this sector as well and there are some people who actually own these cars who just want to enjoy life as well as the ride. There is a lack of experienced staff for the electric vehicles.
